My baby is coming so soon and I just can’t wait! So I’ve been making sure that I have everything I need to welcome him home. But It’s so easy to focus purely on the nursery (which is almost done now!) and forget about some of the other small things needed for a new baby. So today I want to focus on all of the bath time essentials! These are my top picks of everything needed to keep baby clean, comfy, and smelling great!
And best of all, all of these would make WONDERFUL additions to a baby registry. With an Amazon baby Registry, you can get all of these items and more 15% off. That’s a good deal! Click on the link below to Amazon for details.
First things first, a baby bath tub. I love this one for several reasons. First of all, its a 3 stage tub so it grows with your baby. The first stage is for babies 0-3 months. At this stage you can lock the sling into the upper position to cradle babies too young to sit. The next stage is for 3-6 month olds. In this stage you can move the sling down so that it still supports the baby but is more for support for babies learning how to sit up. The third stage is for 6+ months, up to 25 pounds.
In this stage you can remove the sling and let your baby sit up and splash around. I also love that this tub is shaped like a cute little whale. It’s so adorable, it was my favorite on the market by far!
A bath kneeler is a must. I already put up with sore knees from giving my dogs a bath but at least they only need one occasionally. If you don’t have these, baby bath time will turn into baby bath misery! And no one wants that.
With a baby that’s going to need lots of baths, this was definitely something I knew I wanted to have on hand. And this one in particular is great because it matches the tub. I love when you can get a whole matching set of items. So cute!
In the same spirit of the bath kneeler comes the elbow saver! This nice little pad goes over the edge of the tub so you have a nice cushiony place to lean when you’re cleaning your baby. This one also has a nice little zipper pocket to put jewelry, watches etc. And I think it goes without saying that it also matches! Your bathroom decor and your elbows thank you.
A waterfall rinser is a really helpful tool for bathing baby. While this baby will be my first, I’ve given my nieces and nephews lots of bubble baths and know from experience this is something you want to have on hand. Washing little baby hair is next to impossible without one.
Babies accumulate so many bath toys it’s unreal. My baby boy is not even born yet let alone able to hold a toy and yet he has a ton! So unless you want to share your tub with an army of sea creatures, you’ll be happy to have somewhere to put them after baby’s bath. I like this one because not only does it hold the toys, but it also detaches from the side and can be used as a scoop for easy clean up. Oh and um… it matches!
And in case your little one hasn’t accrued an army of bath toys yet, these should get them started. I thought these ones were super cute and I like that they are lightweight and easy to hold even for younger babies. They come in so many different colorful shapes and sizes. They’ll make your infant so happy during baby bath time.
Lots of towels and wash cloths are needed for bath time. These ones are pretty adorable if I do say so myself. Aside from the owl you see above, there is also a fox print (in both girl and boy colors) elephants, sailor puppy, pretty whale, tug boat and more!
You can’t give baby a bath without soap and shampoo. This nice little gift set will get you started and has all the things you need. It includes baby shampoo, lotion, body wash, bubble bath, baby powder, safety swabs, diaper rash cream and a handy little caddy to store it all in. That’s going to be one clean baby!
Everyone knows babies have sharp little nails. To help prevent them from scratching their cute little faces, nail clippers are a must. This one comes with a little nail file as well for perfectly manicured little baby fingers!
Your baby will need this sooner or later. Even if they’re born a baldy, those locks will start to grow in quickly. And if they’re born with a full head of hair, you’ll be glad you prepared. My husband had very thick, long hair when he was born so I’m expecting our son to be the same.
It’s never too early to practice good dental hygiene. And this set is beyond adorable. The toothbrushes work like finger puppets making brushing easy for you and fun for your baby. The accompanying book is a cute little rhyming story book about fighting the sugar bugs. Very cute and worthwhile product for babies and toddlers. A perfect activity for after baby bath time!
And of course, no baby bath time would be complete without a cute little matching robe and slippers. This set is available in blue and pink for baby boys and girls. It also comes with a matching bib that has a shark bite taken out of it! This is perfect for keeping your baby warm after bath time as you brush their hair and teeth, trim their nails and get them ready for bed or for a new day!
