I have great news! It’s a…

I announced before that Erik and I are expecting a baby, arriving February 2018! The whole family has been just dying to find out whether it would be a boy or girl. To reveal the surprise to our family, we made gender reveal cupcakes.

We used a cupcake corer to hollow out the inside of a batch of vanilla cupcakes. Then, filled each cupcake with frosting corresponding to the baby’s gender. It was a really fun way of sharing our news with our loved ones. And now we want to share the news with you!

Boy or girl?

Boy!

We’re so excited to welcome our sweet baby boy into the world! Ever since we found out the gender I have been on a shopping spree buying him everything! It’s been so much fun picking out tiny baby clothes and toys. I can’t wait to start fixing up the nursery! And even more, I can’t wait to meet our baby boy!

Big Changes

Now that we have a child on the way, we plan to really expand the site to include all things baby! Baby clothes, baby recipes, baby stuff…baby everything! I hope you expectant mothers (and of course expectant fathers!) visit often to find inspiration and ideas for your bundle of joy too.

Party Time!

If you’d like to make your own gender reveal cupcakes, you can download the cupcake toppers from The Seagull’s Treasure Etsy Shop.┬áThe cupcake toppers measure 2″ in diameter and can be easily cut out with a 2″ punch. You can also get these at most craft stores, but I like this one on Amazon. These cupcake toppers are such a fun and easy DIY project. Even better, they give you a unique decoration on a delicious treat that everyone will be talking about!
