      Ingredients
      Cake
      • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour
      • 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar
      • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
      • 1/2 Tsp. salt
      • 1 Cup milk
      • 3/4 Cup butter
      • 3/4 Cup Plain Yogurt
      • 1 Tsp. vanilla
      Cream Topping
      • 1 Pint heavy cream
      • 1 Tsp. vanilla
      • 3/4 Cup Confectioner’s sugar
      Berries
      • 2 Lbs. strawberries
      • 1 Pint Blueberries

      Making the Cake
      1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Grease a 9×13″ baking dish.
      2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the butter (chopped into pieces), the yogurt, milk and vanilla.
      3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir well to combine then gradually add into the bowl of the stand mixer with the rest of the ingredients.
      4. When the batter is smooth, transfer to the prepared baking dish and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
      Making the Cream Topping
      1. Chill the mixing bowl and whisk attachment until cold.
      2. Add the heavy cream to the bowl and begin whisking.
      3. Add the vanilla.
      4. Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue to whisk for 3-5 minutes or until light and fluffy.
      Preparing the Berries
      1. Wash the strawberries and blueberries and pat dry.
      2. Remove the tops of the strawberries and slice them. Make sure there are no debris or stems on any of the blueberries.
      Assembling the Trifle
      1. Cut the cake into roughly 2″ squares. Place a layer of the squares on the bottom of the trifle.
      2. Spread a layer of the cream topping over the cake layer. Using 1/3 of the cream topping.
      3. Add a layer of strawberries and blueberries. using 1/3 of the berries.
      4. Repeat this pattern one more time for another layer of cake, cream topping and berries.
      5. Top with the rest of the cream and assemble the remaining berries on the top.
      6. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
